Having tried others in the region before, I decided to give Ron Bevins a try this time. He was available early the next day (just as fast as his major competitor). He arrived promptly.

It quickly became clear that the prior service done for the same broken spring problem had been an inferior job. Ron moved to a stronger spring and adjusted the cable length to properly load the spring and provide good balance to the door. This was a welcomed change as the last spring lasted only 13 months.

I thought that would conclude Ron's work, but he proceeded to lubricate every roller, tighten every screw holding the hinges to my garage door as well as those screws which connect the roller assemblies to the door. In 12 years of hiring firms to maintain this door, I've never seen such a high degree of care and attention to detail. Ron does this without being asked. He says its his standard level of service.

I felt I was in good hands while Ron worked, confident that the repair would be long lasting. In fact, I realized Ron was looking forward making sure his work anticipated the hazards which can short circuit this job. He went the extra distance to avoid those pitfalls. Ron's work was precise and actually elegant. It was a pleasure to watch him work.

While I sure hope I don't need garage door service again for a long time, I know that when the time comes, Ron Bevin of Bevin's Door will be there and it will all work out fine.
